Ann Lucas, Executive Director
Ann Lucas has been executive director of the Nonprofit Resource Center since July of 2006. Ann has worked in the nonprofit sector for over 20 years in various capacities and has served on a number of nonprofit boards. She has also worked as an organizational consultant for nonprofit organizations in the areas of strategic planning and strategic alliances. Ann holds a Master's of Nonprofit Organizations Degree (MNO) from the Mandel Center for Nonprofit Organizations at Case Western Reserve University. She intends to continue to build on the center's past success to better serve the nonprofits in the region.
Gail Catlin, Program Manager
Gail Catlin has over 25 years of executive planning, administration, communications and marketing experience in the nonprofit sector. She is master’s prepared in public administration and has completed her doctoral coursework in the area of transformational learning. Gail has served as executive staff for the Greater Sacramento Cancer Council, the Sutter Community Cancer Center, Sutter Health and the California Association of Hospitals. She also has served as adjunct faculty in the Chapman University’s Masters of Organizational Leadership program, and board member of several local nonprofit organizations. Gail now supports the educational programming of the Nonprofit Resource Center, the coordination of the Placer Collaborative Network, and Center marketing and communications projects.
Jan Geiger, Membership Director
Jan Geiger has a diverse background in the corporate world, as well as in nonprofit and arts organizations. She worked for IBM for seventeen years and in the career management field for 10 years. Jan has been an active and involved participant in Sacramento’s business, social and volunteer community. She is the past chair of the Sacramento Metropolitan Arts Commission and past President of the Arts & Business Council. She has served on a number of boards of directors including WEAVE and SAHRA. In addition, Jan co-chaired Leadership Sacramento for the Sacramento Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce.
Patti Larson, Information Services Manager
Information services manager for the Nonprofit Resource Center since 1989 and a librarian by training, Patti has over 25 years of experience working in nonprofit organizations. She is past board president for the Davis Waldorf School and was instrumental in their fund development plans. Patti loves to help people find the information they need when she's not filling in as the Center's accidental techie.
Kari MacDonald, Finance Manager
With nineteen years of experience as a financial analyst, Kari MacDonald, our Finance Manager, now contributes her talents and skills in financial management to the nonprofit sector. Her past experience with nonprofits includes volunteering with the Sacramento Public Library and administering an art program for school-aged children.
Sarah Wenstrand, Administrative Assistant
As the newest member of the Nonprofit Resources Center team, Sarah comes with experience as both an independent contractor and volunteer with various nonprofits, including young adult cancer awareness groups and arts organizations. Sarah’s recent work with Planet Cancer’s Medical Advocacy Initiatives involved outreach through grand rounds at more than a dozen major cancer centers nationwide. In addition, she helped create a toolkit for young adult cancer patients to discuss their concerns and unique issues with their healthcare providers. Sarah holds a degree in Art History and currently facilitates a weekly writing workshop for those affected by serious illness at UC Davis Medical Center. A Central Valley native and resident of Sacramento for the past decade, Sarah is excited to interact with and be a general resource for area nonprofits.
