GiveLocalNow is a new and innovative movement in the Sacramento Region (El Dorado, Placer, Sacramento and Yolo counties) dedicated to increasing philanthropy to local nonprofits. The movement has been created in response to quantitative and qualitative research documenting that the region’s donation amounts are lower than the national average.

GiveLocalNow provides a connection between donors and area nonprofits. We encourage nonprofit leaders to learn about and engage with this campaign intended to strengthen the nonprofit sector and philanthropy in our communities.

Please consider gathering a group of stakeholders such as staff, board members, and volunteers, to attend one of the events on September 15, depending on your location:

• Sacramento: Campaign Launch Media Event, Crocker Art Museum, 10:00am – 11:00am   (No registration necessary)
• Placer County: Placer Collaborative Network Meeting, 9:00am – 12:00pm in Roseville
  (Register online – Nonprofits Talking Taxes with Kim Klein, followed by a special GiveLocalNow session)
