Civic Ventures has approved a new partnership between the
American Leadership Forum – Mountain Valley Chapter and the
Nonprofit Resource Center to bring the Encore Fellows Program to
the Sacramento and Sierra regions.
Across the region there is a pressing need to help build capacity
in the nonprofit sector. While most of the nonprofit services are
a necessity and provide ongoing support in the region’s local
communities, nonprofit organizations are challenged with
insufficient resources to maintain or build their agencies. By
operating an Encore Fellows Program in the region, the American
Leadership Forum and the Nonprofit Resource Center will enable
these nonprofits to grow and sustain their organizations through
Fellow’s high-impact social-purpose roles.

Like many tech companies, Intel likes to gives its employees choices. Every seven years, for example, all 55,000 U.S.-based workers can take eight weeks of paid time off to do whatever they want.
And like many companies, Intel also sponsors team-building events to develop camaraderie among employees. These events used to involve bowling or some other entertainment.
We express our gratitude to Wells Fargo for providing the funding
for our new website. The goal of this project has been to create
a highly accessible resource for all nonprofit organizations in
the region, providing information at the fingertips of executive
directors, staff and board members.
Wells Fargo has been a partner in the project from the beginning,
helping us to leverage the website grant into a regional resource
hub, and we appreciate their dedication.
