Presentations
Cheryl Clarke, author of Storytelling for Grantseekers, consultant and grantwriting workshop leader will discuss the all important topic of “Telling Your Community Impact through Storytelling.”
Kris Lev-Twombly, former Associate Director of the Ella Baker Center in Oakland, grantwriter and consultant, and specialist in funder relations will discuss “Demystifying Foundation Relations,” an empowering and practical look at securing grants from private foundations.
Funders Panel
We will demonstrate the first step of great grantwriting by engaging in an open, honest and engaged dialogue with local funders. The panel will offer a rare glimpse from local grantmakers into how they develop their funding objectives and identify programs that align with these objectives. Participants will be encouraged to interact with the panel, asking questions and engaging in dialogue about great program development and even better grant writing to support those programs!
