Increasing Planned Gifts
3 Easy Steps
Planned Giving is a key component of any strong fund development program. Planned or “legacy” gifts can provide for the long term, sustainable future of your organization. However, even though most nonprofit organizations want or have goals to have more legacy gifts, it is often difficult to determine how to accomplish these goals.
This workshop will show you the path!
You will find out how to:
- Stratify your volunteers and donors into groups, as well as strategies for individualized approaches to each person in each group
- How to have a conversation that will give you either the planned gift, the barriers you need to overcome to get the gift, or the knowledge that the donor is not a planned gift donor
- Be part of system to support your efforts with a celebration on 2012 Plan Your Giving Day, October 1st, 2012
Developed and presented by the statewide co-chairs of the successful California Plan Your Giving Project, this workshop will debunk myths and help overcome barriers that prevent nonprofit organizations’ staff from achieving successful planned giving.
This workshop includes insights, activities, conversations and group interactions which will provide a spark to your existing planned giving program or prepare you to launch a planned giving program. A 6-month cohort for support, accountability and celebration will be discussed in the final half hour.
This is a GiveLocalNow capacity building workshop designed to help nonprofits fortify and amplify their fund development programs.
