Scotts Miracle-Gro is providing GRO1000 Grassroots Grants to help foster community spirit and public service. Grassroots Grants of up to $1,500 are awarded to local communities to help bring edible gardens, flower gardens and public green spaces to even more neighborhoods in the United States.

Grant applications for the 2012 program will be accepted from January 23, 2012 to February 24, 2012. All applicants will be notified by April 6 of their statuses.

• All organizations achieving a 501(c)(3) with the United States Internal Revenue Service are eligible to apply. If your organization does not have this classification, you may use a fiscal sponsor that does. Please note: If your organization is awarded a grant through this program and you are using a fiscal agent, the funds will be remitted to the fiscal agent.
• Once an application is started, you are unable to save your submission and return to modify it. You must complete the application in the same session it’s begun.
• Once the application is submitted successfully, a screen will appear to confirm receipt.
