donate gently used items (office furniture, equipment, etc.) to
local nonprofit organizations and we list them here. Please

The Center for Reuniting Families at Dancing Deer Farm is a
non-profit education center and organic farm on California’s
central coast. CRF is looking for a long-term partnership with a
compatible non-profit(s) where we can share our facilities at no
cost on weekdays.

Computers refurbished by students at Heald College in partnership
with the Sacramento Sheriff’s Toy Project are available for free

County Fair Mall in Woodland is offering free meeting space to
nonprofit groups. Groups can reserve vacant spaces ranging from
2,000 to 62,000 square feet. Proof of general liability insurance

Data on the health and well being of children across California
is now more accessible than ever before. Kidsdata.org, a
children’s health website developed by the Lucile Packard
Foundation for Children’s Health, just expanded statewide,
offering data for all counties, cities, and school districts in
California — nearly 1,600 regions. Data are available for dozens
of topics measuring the health and well being of children, and
much more data will be phased in throughout 2010. Learn how kids
in your community are faring. Use this data to make your case for
support!
Does your organization need to dispose of unwanted electronics
waste? A number of local electronic waste companies offer free
e-waste pick up. For a listing, visit the County of Sacramento
Waste Management site and look for “How do I recycle…” on the
menu to the left.
Thanks to the support of the James Irvine Foundation and the
Foundation Center, a copy of Guia para Escribir Propuestas (Guide
to Proposal Writing, 5th Edition) is available for free to
nonprofits serving Latino communities. This Spanish
language title is available at the Nonprofit Resource Center
while supplies last.
TechSoup has partnered with Dharma Merchant Services to offer
credit-card processing services and equipment to nonprofits and
public libraries at discounted rates and fees. Dharma is a
certified B Corporation, recognized for their triple-bottom-line
business that meets comprehensive and transparent social and
environmental performance standards.
Good360 donates new products like office furniture to nonprofit
agencies from the corporations that manufacture them. First you
register, then search for the products you need – or you can
submit a wish list. Just note that you will be required to pay

Microsoft Corp. announced July 27, 2011 that is has made updates
to its software
donation program that make it easier for nonprofit
organizations to get access to affordable technology.
Microsoft works closely with the nonprofit organization TechSoup Global and its
global network to operate the software donation program in 35
countries including the United States.
Since its launch in September 2009, the Flip Video program at
TechSoup has provided video cameras to nonprofits and public
libraries throughout the United States.
Aligned with its plans to shut down the Flip business, Cisco has
generously expanded the
Flip Video donation program. Donated bundles of UltraHD and
MinoHD cameras will be available to eligible organizations while
Flip Video products remain in stock.
TechMarketplace is a project of TechFoundation, an organization
that provides discounted and donated hardware, software and
technology services to nonprofits.
RAFT, Resource Area for Teaching, is an organization that
collects donations of teaching materials for distribution to
enrich pre K-12 education and community group programs. Their
goal is to assist teachers, nonprofits and community groups, by
providing materials and ideas for day-to-day teaching and for
supporting professional growth. The ideas and materials supplied
by RAFT enable students to explore subjects such as math,
science, and art through first-hand experience, bringing
educational value to thousands of donated items.
UC Davis Bargain Barn offers a variety of used office
equipment. You can browse items available for public
purchase on their website. The Bargain Barn also donates items to
local nonprofits that have filed an application form and are on
their approved list.
This site is an authorized reseller of computer software and
hardware with a broad offering of name brand, award-winning
programs for nonprofits. CCB supports nonprofits
exclusively.
Get more than 600 technology products at drastically reduced
prices through TechSoup. Nonprofit organizations generally pay
only administrative costs. TechSoup also can provide
nonprofits with refurbished laptops at a fraction of the cost.

Founded in 1969, the Center for Small Business (CSB) is one of
the oldest and largest of its kind in the United States. The CSB
offers free technical management assistance in all areas of
business other than taxation, law, and loan packaging, to small
for-profit and nonprofit organizations. The services are provided
by juniors, seniors, and graduate students under faculty
supervision. These students are assigned to work with clients of
the CSB as part of their coursework in various classes offered by
the College of Business Administration at Sacramento State
University. Services are provided compliments of CSUS and many of
the financial institutions of the local area and Sacramento
Municipal Utility District (SMUD).

The Community Consulting Group (CCG) is an organization of UC
Davis MBA students who provide free consulting services to
nonprofit organizations. Founded by UC Davis MBA students in
1999, the CCG brings together the diverse professional and
academic experiences of MBA students and professors to provide
consulting services tailored to client-specific needs. Proposals

benefit from legal assistance, the Community Organization
Representation Project (CORP) may be able to help. Experienced
volunteer attorneys can assist organizations with revising an
employee handbook, reviewing a lease, negotiating a
contract,·updating an·outdated set of bylaws, or trademarking a
logo. They can also help with larger projects such as purchasing
a building, starting a nonprofit business venture, or
restructuring your organization. In addition, CORP also helps
form long-term partnerships between organizations and law firms.
