The Elton John
AIDS Foundation is dedicated to supporting innovative HIV
prevention programs, efforts to eliminate stigma associated with
HIV/AIDS, and direct services for people living with HIV/AIDS.
The Foundation’s grantmaking priorities include supporting gay
men, black community, and youth mobilization for health; ending
injection-related HIV transmission; access to healthcare for

The State Farm Companies Grants Program strives to meet the needs
of communities in the U.S. and Canada by supporting nonprofit
organizations, educational institutions, and government agencies
that address safety, community development, or education.
The
Foundation for Youth Investment, an initiative of the Pacific
Forest and Watershed Lands Stewardship Council created to provide
greater resources to connect children, youth, and young adults to
nature via parks and outdoor spaces, is inviting Northern and
Central California nonprofits to apply for Impact Fund program
grants to support work designed to get youth outdoors.
The
PEDIGREE Foundation is dedicated to helping dogs in need find
loving homes by supporting the good work of nonprofit shelters

organizations in the United States and Canada that enhance the

American Water Works Company, Inc., a water and wastewater
utility company, has announced that applications are being
accepted by its participating state subsidiaries for the
company’s 2012 Environmental Grant Program awards. Grants will be
available in American Water service areas in ten states —
California, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Missouri, New
Jersey, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, and West Virginia.
The Arcus Foundation seeks to help overcome cultural and policy
obstacles that are barriers to the full acceptance, respect, and
human rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people.
The Foundation’s National LGBT Rights Program supports nonprofit
organizations that are working to achieve LGBT equality through
increased state-level and federal legal rights and regulatory
protections.
The Bank of America Charitable Foundation supports nonprofit
organizations that address pressing social, economic, and
cultural needs in the communities the bank serves throughout the
United States. While the priorities of specific company

CVS Caremark is committed to giving back to company communities
throughout the U.S. where CVS Caremark stores are located in
order to address the company’s vision of improving the quality of
human life. The CVS Caremark Community Grant Program awards funds
to nonprofit organizations that support children with
disabilities, including programs focusing on health and
rehabilitation services, initiatives that provide greater access
to physical movement and play, and public schools promoting a
greater level of inclusion in student activities and
extracurricular programs.
The Fund, an initiative of the Tides Foundation, was established
to support the efforts of activists to preserve California’s
wildlands. The Fund focuses on small nonprofits, with budgets of
$100,000 or less, and individual activists with a sponsoring
organization, who show a demonstrated ability and commitment to
conserve California’s natural landscapes, ecosystems, plants, and
wildlife. The Fund also prioritizes geographic areas and advocacy
efforts that have not received significant foundation support.
Emerging arts leaders between the ages 18 to 35, may be eligible
to apply for up $1,000 to enroll in workshops, attend
conferences and to work with consultants or coaches in
order to enhance the skills needed to lead the nonprofit arts

meaningful way. The Foundation supports programs that focus on

The Alliance is a group of outdoor businesses such as REI,
Patagonia, The North Face, and Kelty that support efforts to
protect specific wild places for their habitat and recreational
values. Funded programs should focus primarily on direct action
to protect specific threatened wild places and waterways. The
campaign should engage grassroots citizen action in support of
the conservation effort. The Alliance is not looking for
mainstream education or scientific research projects, but for
active campaigns.
The Costco Wholesale Corporate Contributions Program supports
nonprofit organizations in company operating communities
throughout the U.S. and Canada as well as international
locations. Grants and product donations are provided to nonprofit
organizations and educational institutions that address the areas
of children’s issues, education, and health and human services.
Local organizations should submit requests to the Warehouse
Manager at the nearest Costco.
Through a grant from the United States Golf Association, the
National
Alliance for Accessible Golf is expanding its efforts to help
make the game of golf more accessible to people with
disabilities. With funding from the USGA, the alliance will
administer the grant application process for organizations
providing golf programs for individuals with disabilities.
The Norcross Wildlife Foundation provides support to local
grassroots organizations throughout the United States that work
to protect wild land. Priority is given to organizations that
have difficulty raising the modest funds they need to do their
critical work in the trenches of environmental conservation.
Grants averaging $1,000 to $5,000 are primarily provided for
program-related office and field equipment, and public education
and outreach materials. The Foundation also provides no-interest
loans to local organizations to help them acquire land they have
prioritized for conservation.
The Norman Foundation supports efforts throughout the United
States that strengthen the ability of communities to determine
their own economic, environmental, and social well-being, and
that help people control those forces that affect their lives.
The Office Depot Foundation supports nonprofit organizations,
government agencies, libraries, and schools on a local and
national scale that bring systemic change to the communities they
serve. The Foundation provides grants averaging $1,000 in three
distinct categories.
